Watch here for special announcements concerning volunteers:

  1. If volunteering for the parade, please do not check a time; you will be expected to be at the parade site by 8:30 and your time will end when the parade ends.
  2. You may sign up for more than one time slot if you like.
  3. If you’re volunteering in two different areas, you’ll need to submit each time slot separately; if in the same area, you may select more than one time slot during one submission.
  4. If the time slot you select is filled before I get it posted, you’ll be notified via email and offered a different time slot or task.
  5. Volunteers will check in at the Beer Tent admission table; there will be a person there to check you in. It is preferable that you arrive 15 minutes before you’re scheduled to work. Of course, you will be admitted free.
  6. If interested in working with CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES, please contact the chair directly:  Liz Nieman, email: lanieman81@gmail.com; phone: 319.464.6476 or Caroline Scheidel, csheidel@turkey-v.k12.ia.us; phone: 641.330.7555.
  7. The task of “Beverage Distributors” is simply serving cans of beer/pop and possibly some type of wine cooler. NO hard liquor is being served.
  8. The task of “Merchandise Sales” will include ONLY tee-shirts, koozies, Belgian Waffle Breakfast tickets and cookbooks.
  9. Age restrictions: You must be 21 or older to distribute beverages and 18 or older to drive the shuttle carts.
  10. NEW. Just arrived and available to the Irish Fest from the Coalition for Underage Drinking–two scanners! This should make this task a breeze. These scanners are very, very simple to use but, of course, you will be instructed in their use prior to your shift.

Check slot availability before submitting your volunteer form. This list of openings is located at the top of this page.
